Michael Ford

Michael is currently in training to become a UK and European patent attorney. He has experience in drafting and prosecuting patent applications for mechanical devices, medical devices, electrochemical and optical sensors, renewable technologies, display technologies and packaging. Michael’s work also includes filing and prosecuting registered design applications and preparing IP audits. 

Michael has an MEng and a DPhil in Materials Science from the University of Oxford. After completing his doctoral studies, Michael carried out research at the Ruhr University of Bochum, Germany, where he also built on his German language skills. His research focused on the thermodynamic properties of metallic nanoparticles, and subsequently on the development of theoretical models for the unusual magnetic properties of transition metals. Michael joined Alistair Hindle Associates in 2014.
